I've been having a hard time finding a good, sharp, wide-angle zoom lens under $500. I currently have the Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM Lens
and the Canon EF 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6 USM Zoom Lens
. I love the lightness, speed, and sharpness of the 50 mm- but with the large crop ratio of the 10D I am constantly struggling to get back far enough to frame the pictures I want correctly. It's too narrow. The zoom lens is great because of the range, but the pictures never seem sharp enough and it's really heavy, so I never use it. Maybe I accidentally banged it around too much?
Anyway, I am looking for something that has a shorter, but wider, zoom range than the one I already have and that will offer me a sharpness more compareable to the 50mm.
Also, does anyone have any recommendations for an affordable flash to use with fashion photography?
Any tips would be very much appreciated!
